Herbal treatment for Hyperthyroidism

Hyperthyroidism is also known as basedow disease. This disease concerns the endocrine organ of the body; particularly the thyroid. This disease is caused due to the malfunctioning of secretions by this gland. That is why it is also known as Grave’s disease. The condition is popularly called Hyperthyroidism. There is a disturbance in the body metabolism as an aftermath of this disease and women are more prone to it than men. This disease is becoming rampant these days. The obvious signs are “obesity, tiredness, petulance, profuse sweating, and inability to adapt to climatic variations”. However, every ailment has an herbal treatment and so does Hyperthyroidism.
Bugleweed is a known herbal treatment for Hyperthyroidism. It has propensities which balance the secretion of the gland. Just add one and a half grams of bugleweed to a hot cup of tea and drink it thrice daily after straining. Lemon balm also aids in balancing the secretions of the thyroid glands. Two teaspoons of dried lemon balm should be put into a hot cup of tea and drunk thrice daily. One month would suffice to resolve the symptoms of Hyperthyroidism. Black pepper is also a known cure for Hyperthyroidism. One should make it a habit to add black pepper to taste in ones staple diet.
