Hepatic fibrosis is a condition when the liver gets scarred and this disease is also known as cirrhosis of the liver. The cause could be an injury or excessive consumption of alcohol. Medically this disease is also referred to as Alcoholic Liver Disease and Liver Cirrhosis Disease. There are some medical authorities, which term this disease as Liver Cirrhosis. In such an event the liver is unable to perform its function normally and may even burst if the condition of the patient is critical. The functions of the liver are making proteins, helping to fight infections, clean the blood, and help digest food especially fats, storing food and excretion”. The symptoms of hepatic fibrosis include “easy bruising or bleeding, or nosebleeds, swelling of the abdomen or legs, extra sensitivity to medicines, high blood pressure in the vein entering the liver, enlarged veins in the esophagus and stomach and kidney failure”. There are treatments for this disease in other forms of medications; however, herbal treatment is the best as the liver is a tender organ.

There is an herb known as Eclipta Alba and if the extracts of this herb is taken thrice daily with honey; then the symptoms of Hepatic fibrosis are resolved within a month’s time.
