Hot Flashes

The definition of hot flashes is the sensation of warm flashes which starts from the head and gradually spreads all over the body. Needless to say profuse sweating and flushes are experienced in a situation like this. These flushes do not last for long and can be experienced for a few minutes to half an hour. Women above 40 years of age, who are still menstruation, are ones who are more susceptible to it. The exact reason for these hot flashes has not yet been established; though many authorities claim that this occurrence is due to hormonal changes. Whatever the reason might be; these hot flashes cause a lot of discomfort while they last. Needless, to say there is no authentic cure for this malady in other forms of medications; however, herbal treatment has a very good treatment for hot flashes. The symptoms could be insomnia and profuse sweating.

Sage leaves and honey are a very good herbal treatment for hot flashes. Sage leaves should be boiled in water for 15 mins (1 handful). Aster the potion has cooled down, add honey to it and drink it four times daily. The symptoms of hot flashes would fade away in a week at the most.
