Herbal treatment for Leg Cramps

In leg gramps the muscles and tendons contract and refuse to relax. These not only affect the legs; they can inflict any movable muscular parts of the body, however, legs are most vulnerable to these cramps, hence the name leg cramps. Leg cramps could be the results strenuous work or as a result of old age. However, other factors also lead to leg cramps and they could be “Poor conditioning, exercising or working in intense heat, dehydration and depletion of salt and minerals (electrolytes)”. There are medications available for leg cramps; however, herbal medication is the best way to treat leg cramps.
The juice of the seeds of Caesalpinia bonducella is very good in treating leg cramps. Extract and drink 1- 2 teaspoons of this juice whenever leg cramps are felt. However, it needs to be made certain that this juice is not taken empty stomach. To enhance the slightly acrid taste of the juice; a tinge of honey could be added. The boiled leaves of dry pin needle powder (60 Gms) should be taken twice daily for a month and the symptoms of leg cramps would be resolved. These herbal treatments have been tried many people and they have reported that the treatments are effective.
