Buruli Ulcer is also known as Bairnsdale Ulcer. It is a slow paced disease of the dermis. The dermal layers are wasted in this disease. It is a skin disease and it its initial stages painless nodules appear on the surface of the skin. These may slowly spread to quite an extent. They heal eventually, however the skin remains scarred as an aftermath of this. Since, the blood vessels are affected; the ailment can encroach upon the bone. This could affect the bone and lead to some other bone ailment. So, prevention is better than cure and an herbal treatment for this disease is better than any chemical treatment.
One of the most used herbal treatments for Buruli ulcer is chamomile. This plant is not seasonal everywhere and so it can be procured easily. All you need to do is to crush 15-20 leaves of this plant and apply on the affected area. The soothing propensity that it has towards the skin would resolve the problem in 20 days. Another herbal treatment which has proved affective in treating Buruli Ulcer is the use of turmeric. If a paste of turmeric powder is applied to the ulcers they could be resolved in a fortnight.
