Osteoarthrosis is a disease of the joints and it is a severe one at that. The bending of the joints causes excruciating pain; though it is seen in people above the age of 60 on most occasions. Medications, inheritance and obesity give impetus to this disease. The cartilages of the joints are most affected in this disease. The fluid which lubricates the joints decreases their output. This fluid is known as synovial fluid. This causes the cartilages to become obsolete; thus causing pain and inflammation. This disease is considered by many as an auto immune disease. Obesity is the worst that can happen to a person suffering from Osteoarthrosis. However, there are some herbal treatments which have proven their worth in controlling Osteoarthrosis to a great extent.
The herb Alfalfa is very helpful in suppressing the symptoms of Osteoarthrosis. The herbal treatment requires one to boil the seeds of Alfalfa in 300ml of water for 30 mins. This needs to be taken thrice daily for a month. After a month the symptoms would disappear. Celery leaves are another good herbal treatment for Osteoarthrosis. These leaves have the propensity to give relief from pain. The leaves should be boiled and consumed just like Alfalfa.
