Pressure sores or bed sores (decubitus) are abrasions and sores with inflammation. They occur because of pressure caused to a specific part of the body; especially where the bone protrudes. These sore are rampant with disabled and bedridden people; as they are unable to change their position in bed without aid. They are curable ofcourse; however, only if detected in the benign stages. It should be noted that if they are detected late; the affected person’s life may be at stake. This is because bed sores hinder the supply of blood to the affected area. The most affected body part is the lower region (below the waist).
There is one potent herbal treatment for bed sores and that is Ginger. The juice of ginger is a natural antiseptic and it is capable of healing a bed sore; within a short time. The juice of Garlic clove is also a very effective herbal treatment for bed sores. You just need to clean the wound with the juice of these natural antiseptics.
As for home remedies; an attendant should be present with the patient. This is because the bed sore needs frequent cleansing and as a precautionary measure to avoid bed sores the patient’s posture needs to be changed every two hours.

If there is a swelling in the planter fascia; then the disease is called plantar fasciitis. In this ailment the feet experiences excruciating pain. This disease is more prevalent in pregnant women, overweight and diabetic persons. Planter fascia is that bone which extends from the heel; right to the fore foot. So, one can imagine the effort involved in walking. All age groups suffer from this ailment; though, it is the middle age group which is more affected by it. Since, movement is restricted; one tends to become obese. This obesity worsens the situation. People suffering from this disease experience shooting pain in the foot; especially in the mornings.
Whoever, is suffering from plantar fasciitis; must make certain their diet consists of nutritious food. As, an herbal remedy; therefore green leafy vegetables must be included in the staple diet. Another herbal treatment for plantar fasciitis is to eat plenty of Apples. Since, apple is rich in iron and other vital nutrients; it very good for a patient of plantar fasciitis. Joint pains can occur to a person of any age and the main cause is often an old wound of the bone. The most affective home remedy for this ailment is hot compression. This can easily be done by mixing common salt with Luke warm water and soaking a soft cloth in the concoction. After rinsing this warm cloth should be placed at the affected area and it should remain there till the cloth is warm. A hot water bath is also very effective in joint pains. The structure of the bone is such that scalding hot water would have the opposite affect; so one should be careful in that.
