cavities

Cavities are the result of bad oral hygiene and the aftermath of having one could be excruciating. Preventive measures can be taken by going to a dentist and regular brushing after meals. Incidentally, cavities are the most widespread disease in the world; both young and old suffer from it alike. People who chew tobacco and smoke are susceptible to this disease and they should take care to remove all the tar accumulation by regular brushing of their teeth and proper massaging of the gums. It is not that tobacco is responsible for cavities; it is just that the chewing of tobacco and the smoking of cigarettes gives impetus to the disease. The filling of the inflicted tooth or an extraction is not the natural way out. However, there is an herbal treatment to arrest a cavity.

It is a well known fact that cloves are good for the teeth. This being the case; if a clove is put inside a cavity and the saliva expectorated it would help in disinfecting the teeth; as an alternative clove oil could be applied to a painful cavity with the help of a cotton swab. However, it should be made certain that the saliva which is collected in the mouth should be discarded. By discarding the saliva all the germs would be drained out of the cavity. This herbal treatment is a primitive one and well known too. This the reason why most tooth paste manufacturers use clove oils as a basic ingredient in their product.
