Herbal treatment for Cervicitis

The opening of the uterus is known as the cervix and an inflammation in this part of a woman s known as cervicitis. It is usually an infection and can be triggered by “IUD devices like cervical cap, device to support the uterus, diaphragm or it could be due to an allergy to spermicidal used for birth control or to latex in condoms”. This disease is very common and almost 50% of women acquire it in some point of their lives. This disease has many risks and includes “High-risk sexual behavior, history of sexually transmitted disease (STD), many sexual partners, sex (intercourse) at an early age, or sexual partner(s) who have engaged in high-risk sexual behavior or have had an STD”. STD’s, which can trigger an attack of cervicitis, are “Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Herpes virus (genital herpes), Human papillomavirus (genital warts) or Trichomoniasis”. There are gynecological treatments for this ailment; however, they are not fool proof. However, herbal treatment is both safe and cheap.
You would need to grind catechu (Hai Er Cha) 20 Gms, cork tree bark (Huang Bo) 6 Gms and borneol (Bing Pian) 4 Gms to a smooth powder and make a paste out of it with vegetable oil and apply it to the area affected for one week or three weeks depending on the condition and the symptoms of cervicitis would be resolved in maximum 3 weeks.
