Herbal medications come in an array of varieties. Chiefly, they are in liquid or capsule forms. The tablet form is also very effective; however, it slows down the recuperating procedure. However, that may be it is imperative that the herbs used are fresh. If it happens to be otherwise then the concerned herb would loose its potency. The efficacy of medication lies in the potency of the herb and if it is not there then the medication would be of no use. However, even if the medication does not work it would not give any side effect. The tincture made from herbs needs alcohol; however, nature has its own alcohol (mowha) and this is used in most herbal tinctures. Incidentally, the juice of freshly cut leaves of the Lantana plant is a very potent healer for cut and wounds. Besides it does not give the smarting effect that tincture of iodine gives. Palmetto is known for its bitter taste; however this bitter taste can be mellowed down by consuming it with tea or some juice.
Another potent tincture is goldenseal; however, this also tastes awful and needs to be imbibed with juice or tea. Coffee is not recommended at all as a blend with herbal tinctures. This is so because the caffeine in it does not agree with herbal tinctures. There is a herbal cure for practically every ailment. However, one should make a conscious effort to find the right source for apt guidance. Once you have found the right source of guidance; then it is very unlikely that you would go in for any other form of medication.
