Home remedies for belching or burping

Medically belching or burping is called eructation or ructus. It simply means that gas is released from the wrong end. A foul smell and a weird sound may accompany this happening. Belching is a very common occurrence and can happen to anyone and everyone. The main cause; however, is over eating and the excess air that is accumulated in the abdomen. However, the releasing of air is imperative.
It may transpire that belching may become a habit to many and in such an event the aforementioned causes is not the answer. They belch just to make sure that the succulent repast has been successfully digested. This gives them a sense of relief.
However, there are certain home remedies that could stop belching. Milk is one dairy product which aggravates belching; so it must be avoided. Further the intake of sugar also gives impetus to belching; so too much intake of sugars is also not good for a person who belches too much. There are some vegetables that also cause belching; the starch in them is the cause of belching. The starch is not digestible easily; leading to belching. Beans, lentils, cabbage, bananas, apricots, prunes and onions should be avoided anyhow as they are not digestible easily. These precautions are the advisable home remedies for belching.
