Break bone fever

This disease is a kind of malaria and is spread by the tiger mosquito. It has been observed that dengue is rampant in the rainy season. This disease is also known as dengue shock syndrome and dengue hemorrhage fever. The symptoms are obvious and include “High fever, headaches, joint & muscle pain, nausea, vomiting and rash”. The disease usually heals three to four weeks; however, if, dengue hemorrhage sets in then it leads to profuse bleeding from the nose, skin and the gums. Antipyretics can aid in controlling the situation; however, herbal treatment is better and people would vouch for it.

Cashew nut is good for everyone and the overall health of the body; however, very few know that the bark of the tree has antibacterial propensities. This property of the bark helps in resolving the symptoms of break bone fever in a week. You would need to boil 15 Gms of this bark in a cup measure of water for 35 mins and then strain, cool and drink it thrice daily. People living in tropical countries where this form of malaria is a frequent outbreak would swear an oath for the efficacy of this treatment. As a preventive measure one should make sure that no stagnant water is around the house; as the mosquitoes breed rapidly in stagnant water.
