Herbal treatment for Onychomycosis

When the nails get infected fugally the condition is known as Onychomycosis. This disease is rampant and about 50% of the population the world over suffer from this disease. The disease is cause by dermatophytes and the pathogen responsible for this disease is also known as tinea unguium. Elderly people are more susceptible to this disease; besides diabetes can give impetus to this ailment. In this disease the nails tend to get uprooted from their right place and it goes without saying that mundane chores are hindered. Treatments are limited in other forms of medications; however, there is a potent herbal treatment for Onychomycosis.
Tea tree oil is a very good herbal treatment for Onychomycosis. The oil; however, should not be diluted. Tis oil should be massaged to the effected area for two months; two times a day would suffice and within two months the symptoms of Onychomycosis would be resolved. Another potent herbal treatment for Onychomycosis is ZANHA africana bark. All you need to do is make a paste of it with water and apply it on the affected nail and two weeks would suffice in resolving the symptoms of Onychomycosis. However, make certain that the bark of the leaf does not exceed (60 Gms).
