Impetigo is a disease affecting children in the form of blisters on the neck and face; that is why it is also known as school sores. This is a summer disease and two bacteria’s are responsible for this disease. Streptococcus and staphylococcus aureus; they affect children who are on the verge of going to school or are already school goers. An abrasion or a cut in the skin gives impetus to this infection; scratching aggravates the condition. A good example is poison ivy being infected with Impetigo. Yellow fever is transmitted by the bite of a mosquito which is carrying the virus. Incidentally it happens to be a flavivirus disease. The peeling of the skin is a temporary problem; though a pressing one. Other than infection; dry skin, over sweating and harsh weather could be the cause of the peeling of skin. Chicken pox occurs usually in children (3 to 4 years of age) and is very contagious. The attack is severe in older children. Black heads are the ugly dark protrusions which are especially visible on a fair person. However, the good news is that they can be treated herbally. Just make a thick paste of fuller’s earth or volcanic ash with milk and apply it on the face. Let this application dry and then wash off with cold water.
