Herbal treatment for Chyluria
Sunday, September 6th, 2009
Chyluria is a rampant disease of the Indian peninsula and the African veldt. In this disease chyle is urinated alongside urine and is creamish in appearance. This is caused by a disruption in the lymph channels and it is because a foreign body named Wuchereria bancrofti attaches itself to the channel. It is a thread like nematode and at times may lead to the passing of blood in the urine. This condition is known as haemato-chyluria.If untreated the condition can lead to severe complications and could require surgery. Anti- filarial drugs may help; however, herbal treatment is the best way out to treat Chyluria.
The grinded form of Hyacinth Bletilla or bai ji (35g) should be mixed with glutinous rice or Nou Mi. This should be taken twice daily for ten days; morning and evening. The symptoms of Chyluria are resolved in ten days. Nou Mi and seaweed are also considered a good herbal treatment for Chyluria. You would need to decoct betel nut or Bing Lang 50 g and seaweed or hai zao 50g. Half the decoction should be taken after breakfast and the other half after dinner. India is a sub continent and Africa is a continent; so you can imagine the number of people who have this disease and those who have tried these herbal treatments would vouch for their efficacy.
