Milk of magnesia is also a very effective treatment for urticaria. You need to apply this lotion to the affected area. It would give a lot of relief from the itching. The drinking of herbal tea like peppermint and passion flower tea is also very beneficial for treating hives. Cornstarch and baking soda bath is also a good remedy for hives. Mix half a cup each of them in bathing water and have a bath with it.

Herpes is a well known sexually transmitted disease. It is a virus and can affect anyone and not necessarily sexually. The conventional form of medication states that this ailment is not curable. However, this is not true as far as herbal treatment goes. There are certain herbs with anti-bacterial properties which can cure even an ailment like herpes.

  1. Never exert yourself; if you happen to be suffering from herpes. This gives impetus to the herpes virus. Indulging in yoga and sleeping alongside drinking plenty of herbal tea also helps in reducing the symptoms of herpes.
  2. The intake of yogurt/ curd strengthens your immune symptoms. Since, yogurt contains probiotic; which helps to build up your immune system; if you are taking anti biotics.
  3. Eat heartily and make sure that you get the required sleep at nights. You should also make sure that you avoid caffeine.
  4. L-Lysine should be taken thrice daily (500gms).
  5. Make a concoction of different tinctures like lemon, balm, nettle, goldenseal, comfrey and chamomile with tea oil and apply it to the affected area. This should be thrice daily. The imbibing of calming tea is also very beneficial in herpes.
  6. Cold cautizing or compressing is of great help n herpes; as it tends to reduce the pain. However, while bathing; you should make certain that water is Luke warm and not hot. After a bath make sure that the sore are patted dry and not wiped dry.

Though, the aforementioned advice has worked wonders for many; however, it is still better to take advice from a professional.
