Blepharoconjunctivitis

When the conjunctiva of the eyelids is swollen the disease is known as Blepharoconjunctivitis. The condition could be both acute and chronic. This is the result of the causative virus Staphylococcus aureus and this disease is a contagious one. At times ulcers can be visible; this especially so in angular Blepharoconjunctivitis and is due the infestation of a pathogen named Moraxella lacunata. The ulcers at times could be marginal also. However, there is a home cure for this disease and it is better than any other form of medication as it is cheap and effective also. It is a known fact that 90% of the populace does not take care of their eyes; which is wrong as the eye happens to be one of the most tender parts of the human anatomy.

Eyewash of boric acid does wonders in an attack of Blepharoconjunctivitis. You would need to add one tsp of boric acid in a cup measure of water. This potion would soothe the eyes and as an alternative hot compress could be done 6-10 times daily. Both the home treatments would give good results in a week.

However, the continuous usage of these home remedies would prevent a relapse of the disease.
