Cholesterol is a vital ingredient of the human body. It is a yellow flab like substance. Though, it is imperative for existence; it has a bad repute. This because excess of cholesterol leads to a heart attack. This cholesterol is the secretion of the liver. To add to it what we eat daily also has cholesterol in it. It is measured by taking a blood sample of the patient (100 ml). 150 to 200 mg of cholesterol in every sample is considered to be normal. However, if the level goes up then it can prove to be fatal for the heart.
If a person has high blood cholesterol then as a home and herbal remedy; lecithin is a very effective treatment. It has a propensity to break up the extra cholesterol and enhance digestion. Egg yolks, cereals and Soya beans are abundant in lecithin; so they must be included in the staple diet. Lecithin; has the ability to increase the bile production; which helps in reducing blood cholesterol. Unpasturised milk is also a rich source of lecithin. As the name suggests; Neuritis means the swelling of the nerves. It could be a single nerve or it could be many nerves. When there is profusion in the swelling of the in particular anatomy of the human body it is termed as polyneuritis. Usually, a person suffering from polyneuritis gets numbness and a tickling sensation in the affected area. In such an event a paralytic attack becomes inevitable. If this happen to the nerves of the face; then the face could become contorted. This might result in the patient not being able close his/her eyes. However, this ailment is curable through herbal treatment.
Soya bean milk is a very good herbal treatment for Neuritis. Since this milk is abundant in Vitamin B and lecithin. It has the propensity to tone the nerves. The patient should imbibe it every night. The milk should be boiled and cooled; then sugar should be added to it; this to lessen to an extent the acrid taste of the milk. The brew of Barley is another effective herbal treatment for Neuritis. The brew should be prepared by adding buttermilk and half a mimes juice. This brew should be boiled to about a quarter of it and then cooled. This juice rejuvenates the nerves.
