Swine flu is also known as swine influenza. This disease affects the respiratory tract of pigs; however, the virus has a propensity to alter; so it infects humans easily. Incidentally, humans happen to be the weakest of all living things. The virus which causes this disease is known as H1N1virus and was first discovered in Mexico. High temperature, aching head and gastronomical disorders are all symptoms of swine flu. There are two antiviral agents who are affective in swine flu and one goes by the name of Zanamivir and the other by the name of Oseltamivir. People of all ages can be affected by this disease; especially those with a weak immune system.

However, nature has a cure for everything and there are certain herbs which are very effective in treating swine flu. The herbal treatment for swine flu can be done by the consumption of Tribhuvan-Kirti-Ras, Laxmi-Narayan-Ras, Chirayta, Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum), Vishwa (Zinziber officinalis), Panchamrut-Parpati, Sitopaladi-Churna, Kutaj (Holarrhina antidysentrica), Dhatura (Dhatura fastiosa) and Kantakari (Solanum xanthocarpum).

All the above mentioned herbs are very good as an herbal treatment for swine flu. They can be taken in powder form or by boiling their leaves and drinking the water after straining it.
