Cold Sore is often mistaken for canker sore; however the disease is entirely different. It is not a long lasting disease. The symptoms are “Small, painful, fluid-filled blisters on a raised, red area of your skin, typically around the mouth, pain or tingling often precedes the blisters by one to two days”. The duration of the disease is seldom more than a fortnight. Nonetheless, it should be remembered that the lips are the most affected in this disease; however, if these sores appear on the fingers and nostrils they can cause immense pain. The pathogen responsible for this disease is the herpes simplex virus. It may be remembered that these sores have a yellowish exterior; nevertheless, the sores heal without the vestige of a scar. A person suffering from this disease should remember that this malady is contagious. Cold sore is also known as fever blisters and labialis. However, there is a very potent herbal treatment for this ailment.
Myrrh is very good in treating cold sores; all you need to do is to mix 12 Gms of myrrh in a cup full of water and drink it twice daily for one week. It has been proven that within a week the symptoms of labialis are resolved in a weeks span. Likewise ice cube packs can also be used to heal the sores. The infected person can cold compress as often as possible with the aid of a handkerchief and the symptoms would be resolved in a week.

Hematemesis is a malfunctioning of the GI tract. In this ailment the patient tends to vomit blood. Blood discharge could be from the nose or the mouth. In the latter case it is when a person coughs. When a person puts an effort to cough; it can rupture the walls of the throat and cause blood to ooze; either from the nasal part or from the mouth. At times stomach ulcers also bleed and the bleeding could be profuse enough to make a person vomit blood. All these things affect the GI tract and the end result is vomiting of blood. The disease of Pyorrhea is also called Periodontal. It is an ailment of the gums. This is a rampant disease. This disease loosens the gums and as an aftermath the teeth start to fall. A foul odor comes from the mouth; due to the formation of pus. This is the reason why most adults tend to loose their teeth. Due to this disease the gums tend to become tender and fill up with pus. A person suffering from Pyorrhea; usually swallows the pus. This affects the stomach lining and the liver in a major way. Infact, the whole internal body system is affected.
Nevertheless, there are some herbal treatments for Pyorrhea and Guava is one of them. The chewing of raw guava is very good for the teeth and gums. Since, the fruit is abundant in Vitamin C it impedes the bleeding. The bark of the guava tree should be boiled and cooled. Then it should be used as a mouth wash. This would reduce the inflammation. The same goes for lemon as an herbal treatment for Pyorrhea. This is because it is rich in Vitamin C. A further herbal remedy for Pyorrhea; is the eating of oranges. The term Halitosis means foul/bad breath. This condition is all too common. It is sad but true that most people who suffer from bad breath are not even aware of it. Burning mouth syndrome (BMS) commonly called burning tongue is a very painful ailment. The biological terms or jargons for burning tongue are stomatopyrosis, glossodynia and oral galvanism.
