Goitre and its herbal treatment

When there is an enlargement in the thyroid glands; then a person is said to have Goitre. The position of the gland is such a place that it is visible from quite a distance. This is because it is situated just below the Adams apple. This ailment is also called ‘Derbyshire neck’ and the basic cause for this ailment is the deficiency of iodine in the body. It has been observed that women are affected more by this disease than men. Moreover, this ailment is inflammatory; so it quite embarrassing for a woman. However, the disease is not cancerous.
