<p>Bilharzia is common in tropical countries where stagnant water in the form ponds and lakes are common; that is why this disease is also known as snail fever. Snails tend to thrive in ponds and lakes and transmit Bilharzia to humans; which incidentally happen to be the weakest amongst all living creatures. It has been estimated that about 300 million whooping amount of people are inflicted by this ailment. The larva of this disease grows in the snails and is easily transmitted to humans and this typically so in nations like Nigeria; where ponds and lakes are the only source of drinking water. Nevertheless, there is an herbal treatment for this malady. This disease is also known as Schistosomiasis and Bilharziosis. </p>
<p>The herbal treatment would depend on the bulk of a person and the root of the salvia plant (20-75 Gms) needs to be decocted and the person should take about 40 Gms for a month the symptoms of Bilharziosis would be resolved in a month. People living in tropical countries would vouch for the effectiveness of this herbal treatment. Though, now days this disease is not all that common; due to the advent of packaged water; however, in remote areas it is still prevalent.</p>
