The disease of Pyorrhea is also called Periodontal. It is an ailment of the gums. This is a rampant disease. This disease loosens the gums and as an aftermath the teeth start to fall. A foul odor comes from the mouth; due to the formation of pus. This is the reason why most adults tend to loose their teeth. Due to this disease the gums tend to become tender and fill up with pus. A person suffering from Pyorrhea; usually swallows the pus. This affects the stomach lining and the liver in a major way. Infact, the whole internal body system is affected.
Nevertheless, there are some herbal treatments for Pyorrhea and Guava is one of them. The chewing of raw guava is very good for the teeth and gums. Since, the fruit is abundant in Vitamin C it impedes the bleeding. The bark of the guava tree should be boiled and cooled. Then it should be used as a mouth wash. This would reduce the inflammation. The same goes for lemon as an herbal treatment for Pyorrhea. This is because it is rich in Vitamin C. A further herbal remedy for Pyorrhea; is the eating of oranges. The skin of the fruit should be rubbed over the teeth and gums. This would hasten the recuperating process.

The most devastating ailment of the intestines is Cholera. It is a critical malady; concerning the lower portion of the small bowel. It is caused because of contagious water and is rampant in the rainy season. This is the reason why the mortality rate is high in this ailment. The ailing person gets relentless cramps in the stomach and the throat seems to be parched always. The restlessness becomes very evident. A fever always accompanies this ailment. One can make out from the voice of the person ailing; as to how much the person is suffering. In simple words the ailing person starts looking haggard.
Nonetheless, there are some herbal treatments for this ailment. Lemon plays a very important role in the herbal treatment of Cholera. Fresh lemon juice is capable of killing the Cholera bacteria in a very short span of time. So, it is imperative that the patient be given fresh lime juice atleast thrice daily. Another potent herbal treatment for Cholera is Guava root bark. You would need to make a decoction of 30gms of guava root bark with a litre of water. Then the decoction should be boiled to about 1/3rd of its level and then given to the patient twice daily, after cooling.

Passion flower- Passiflora spp- Pasionaria - This herb treatment is in reducing anxiety. Further, it gives a sound sleep; without the fear of addiction.
Plantain- Plantago major (Llanten) - The pain caused by insect bites, abrasions and contagious diseases can be minimized by the use of Plantains. It is of great help in menstrual cramps and protects the liver too. It has antioxidant propensities as well.
Pomegranate – To fight prostate cancer; the juice of pomegranate is the best herbal treatment. It controls diarrhea and dysentery also.
Psyllium - Plantago Psyllum or Zaragatins- It is very good for a diabetic patient as it lowers the sugar level in the body.
Quince - Cydonis Vulgaris (Cydinia Membrillo) - Quince is capable in curing dysentery and other stomach related ailments like indigestion. It is considered to be a tonic for the brain and the heart.
Rose Hips (Rosa Blanda) – This herb is very efficacious in treating abrasion of any kind and increasing the blood circulation. It is helpful in treating a common cold and flu.
Rosemary - Rosemarinus Officinales (Romero) – it is very good for an upset stomach and headaches. Rosemary has anti ageing properties and is used as a preventive measure for cancer. This herb can also resolve liver disorders.

Peptic ulcers could be defined as ulcers present in the intestines and the stomach wall.
