Erysipelas is a severe skin infection and affects the lower tissue of fat. Basically it is disease of geriatrics; however children below the age of 16 are also susceptible to it. If this disease affects the nasal cavity then strep bacteria is the causative agent.

The dried and powdered leaves of Pedilanthus tithymaloides plant or devil’s backbone should be boiled, cooled and strained. Drink one cup of this tea for a week and the symptoms of Erysipelas would be resolved. However, it should be remembered that the mixture should not be boiled for more than 10 minutes; otherwise the potion would loose its potency.

Cellulite is also known as cellulitis and is an inflammation of the underlying tissues of the skin. The pathogen responsible for this disease is Streptococcus. A previous surgery, abrasion or a burn are attributed as the main cause of this disease. This disease is a contagious one and can be transmitted to others by the breathing of the infected person. The symptoms of this disease are visible as redness of the skin, fever, shivering, inflammation of the glands and the lymph nodes. Medication is possible only after a test; which would determine the pathogen, which is responsible for the ailment. However, you do not need to go in for a test as there an herbal treatment for this ailment.

Cayenne pepper is a very good herbal treatment for cellulte; however, cayenne pepper (1/3 tsp) needs to be mixed with fresh limejuice. The ailing person would need to drink this twice daily and the symptoms of cellulite would be resolved in a week. Another potent herbal treatment for cellulite is the drinking of tea made by Japanese silverberry. However, it would need to be imbibed thrice daily for a week to get relief from the symptoms of cellulite. These herbal treatments are time tested and have no side affects whatsoever.

Impetigo

Impetigo is a disease affecting children in the form of blisters on the neck and face; that is why it is also known as school sores. This is a summer disease and two bacteria’s are responsible for this disease. Streptococcus and staphylococcus aureus; they affect children who are on the verge of going to school or are already school goers. An abrasion or a cut in the skin gives impetus to this infection; scratching aggravates the condition. A good example is poison ivy being infected with Impetigo. This disease can be treated with antibiotics; however, herbal treatment is the best for children. The allergy to certain chemical based soaps and creams also leads to Impetigo.

White cedar flowers are a very good herbal treatment Impetigo. The fresh petals of this flower needs to be made into a paste and applied to the affected place four times a day for 4 days. This herbal treatment would turn the tables on Impetigo. Goethe Plant is also considered a good and safe herbal treatment for Impetigo. The botanical name of this plant is Bryophyllum pinnatum. You would need to boil about 20 leaves in a cup measure of water for 40 mins. Then cool, strain and drink it four tines a day. The symptoms of Impetigo would go away in a week.
