Herbal treatment for Vulvodynia

Vulvodynia; simply means excruciating pain in the vulva; it hampers the daily chores of a woman’s life to a great extent. The burning sensation felt in the vulva can make a woman sob. Sex is out of the question; as sitting is an effort in itself. The symptoms may only be redness of the vulva. Trauma is supposedly the cause of this ailment; otherwise the actual cause of the disease is a mystery. However, the usual symptoms are “Burning, soreness, itching, stinging, rawness, painful intercourse (dyspareunia) and throbbing”. The soreness could last a lifetime or it could simple fade away of its own accord. There is nothing to worry though; as there is a potent herbal treatment for Vulvodynia. Incidentally this ailment is also known as painful vulva.
Marula is known for its anti-inflammatory propensities and so, it a very good herbal treatment for painful vulva. The powdered form of the bark of Marula needs to be boiled in a cup measure of water for 15 mins (15g). The cooled and filtered extract should be taken thrice daily for a month and the disease would be cured in a month’s time; although, relief would come in a couple of days.
