Hematemesis is a malfunctioning of the GI tract. In this ailment the patient tends to vomit blood. Blood discharge could be from the nose or the mouth. In the latter case it is when a person coughs. When a person puts an effort to cough; it can rupture the walls of the throat and cause blood to ooze; either from the nasal part or from the mouth. At times stomach ulcers also bleed and the bleeding could be profuse enough to make a person vomit blood. All these things affect the GI tract and the end result is vomiting of blood. However, there are certain herbal treatments which have proven their worth in treating Hematemesis.
A Chinese herb; by the name of Huang Lian is very affective in treating Hematemesis. The dosage is 1.6- 8Gms; this herb is acrid in taste and cold. Infact, this herb is beneficial for the entire system, including disorientation, delirium, boils and sore throat. Since, it is very soothing; it a very effective herbal treatment for ulcers; diarrhea and dysentery can also be resolved by the usage of Huang Lian. It also has the propensity of a natural sedative; so it is helpful to people who suffer from insomnia and it is non-addictive. Besides it is side effect free also.

Canker sores are referred to those ulcers which appear in the mouth lining. They are excruciating and susceptible. Mouth sore are common due to canker sores. In medical terminology they are called Aphthous Stomatitis. Drinking and eating becomes a very painful effort. They occur in all age limits and are not contagious and can relapse after healing completely also. What causes these sores is still a topic of study; however, it is assumed that improper bowel movement is a major cause of canker sores. Others debate that these sores are caused by the deficiency of certain nutrients. However, that may be; canker sores are very- very troublesome.
However, there are some herbal and home remedies to cure canker sores. It is imperative that you rinse your mouth with juice frequently. Alum is also very effective in treating canker sores. Apply it twice daily to the affected area. It abates the pain and hastens healing; the same goes with baking powder; either in a paste form or powdered form. Gargling with grape fruit juice twice daily is also very effective for the herbal treatment of canker sores. The other herbal treatment for canker sores would cause the mouth lining to smart; however, it is a very effective herbal treatment. You would need to gargle twice daily with onion juice.
