Chicken pox occurs usually in children (3 to 4 years of age) and is very contagious. The attack is severe in older children. The symptoms appear in the form of a rash on the skin and it is red in color. Though, they appear usually on the upper portion of the back and chest. In really serious cases these spots may appear on the face and scar it or life. In other words if the attack is severe the person would become a scar face. They keep occurring and drying up till seventeen days. The sore ripens fast and has a wet exterior.

This ailment is treatable herbally. Brown vinegar is very essential in treating chicken pox. Add half a cup of brown vinegar to Luke warm bathing water; this would give relief from the irritation of the ailment. An oatmeal bath stops the irritation caused by chicken pox. A few other herbal remedies for chicken pox are the use of boiled green pea water and baking soda. The child should be given a sponge with baking soda; so that when it dries up the child would refrain from itching.
